Introducing Apple iOS 14 with support for NFC App Clips

More efficient performance with the iPhone on your hands, on the latest version of iOS 14, it reimagines the most iconic parts of the experience to be even more helpful and personal such as widgets on the home screen, app library, NFC tag reader, and app clips.

There are around 2 million applications in the App Store, that means finding new apps to download is now more challenging than ever. With the app clips, the developers can make the users trial or use their applications without downloading the applications.

Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President – Software Engineering (Apple Inc.), said “App Clips are a great way for users to quickly access and experience what your app has to offer,”

What is App Clip?

Have you ever bumped into the annoying experience while you are in being in a hurry situation when you are at the car parking, food ordering, or scooter renting and the phone enforced you to download the app before using their service? Nowadays, it already has a choice for you. The App clip is offered you what you will have a wonderful experience and ease of the obstacle on the worst user-friendly scenario.

Apple’s App Clips are about making apps as seamless to use as the web. They are fast, ephemeral, and eliminate the barrier to entry for downloading an app on the App Store. We can use the app by just scanning the QR code or tapping at the NFC tag. The NFC tag reader in iOS 14 is available on iPhone 7 models and newer, this feature is being expanded so that users can scan NFC tags. App Clips would work in any scenario. Also, it is easy to use apps as it is to tap to check out with Apple Pay or launch a website.

A key advantage App Clips offer is how they address concerns over data privacy. The App Clips and all its data will automatically disappear if it’s not used again within some time. However, if a user begins to launch a particular app clips more regularly, the user may decide to download the full app.
