SICT Participated in TechSauce Global Summit 2025

August 4, 2025, Silicon Craft Technology PLC proudly participated in the Techsauce Global Summit 2025 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

Dr. Bodin Kasemset, CEO, shared his perspectives and vision alongside Prof. Konrad Young, Former R&D Director at TSMC, under the topic “Decoding the Global Chip Economy: Who Will Lead the Semiconductor Race?”
Dr. Bodin stated: “With over 20 years of experience in this industry, I have clearly seen the potential and opportunities for Thailand. I firmly believe that for Thailand to succeed in semiconductor investment, there must be tangible and continuous support in four key dimensions.”

1️⃣ Long-term strategy & investment
The government must establish a comprehensive long-term strategic framework for semiconductor industry development, coupled with innovative investment differ from traditional approaches. This industry demands exceptionally high capital investment while simultaneously facing intense competition from technologically ambitious nations that have implemented aggressive semiconductor support policies with substantial state backing.

2️⃣ Talent development
We must prioritize continuous development of high-caliber talent while simultaneously creating robust employment opportunities for emerging professionals. This encompasses attracting accomplished Thai professionals from overseas to return home, alongside welcoming international experts to transfer knowledge and experience. Such initiatives will elevate our domestic workforce capabilities to compete effectively on the global stage.

3️⃣ Differentiate technology focus
We should strategically invest in technologies where Thailand can establish meaningful differentiation, rather than competing through capital-intensive approaches employed by other nations. Instead, we should focus investment at levels commensurate with our capabilities, particularly by building upon existing strengths such as Assembly and Testing, then systematically advancing toward more sophisticated technologies like Advanced Packaging. This approach will position us as a critical player in the global semiconductor supply chain.

4️⃣ Championing Thai innovation
We must champion Thai innovation to drive comprehensive semiconductor industry infrastructure development. This will stimulate increased domestic demand for products and services, creating a sustainable growth cycle. Enhanced revenues from the domestic market will become capital for continuous research and development of new knowledge, ultimately leading to world-class competitive capabilities.

Silicon Craft is ready to collaborate with government agencies and the private sector to drive and advance Thailand’s semiconductor industry, making it globally competitive and a key player in the global supply chain”
The Company sincerely appreciates the honor of being invited to participate in this important panel discussion. This marks another significant step that reflects our firm commitment to sustainably elevating Thailand’s semiconductor industry to the global stage.
