Develop and validate firmware for secure element chips, focusing on smartcard applications and compliance with international security standards. The role involves contributing to product security features, supporting Common Criteria certification, and collaborating with hardware and evaluation teams to deliver trusted solutions for global markets.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain firmware for secure element chips and smartcard applications.
- Implement cryptographic protocols and security features in embedded environments.
- Collaborate with hardware design teams to ensure secure integration of firmware with ICs.
- Prepare documentation and technical evidence required for Common Criteria certification.
- Support evaluation labs and certification bodies during the CC process.
- Conduct security testing, debugging, and compliance validation.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in smartcard programming and security certification processes (Common Criteria preferred)
- Strong background in smartcard programming (ISO/IEC 7816, Global Platform, EMV, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Common Criteria certification (writing security targets, supporting evaluation, responding to lab findings).
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and familiarity with secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and secure communication protocols.
- Experience with secure element chips, TPMs, or similar hardware security modules.
- Java Card / Java OS development experience for smartcard platforms is a plus.
