Supports annual budgeting, mid-year reforecasting, and budget control while coordinating capital expenditure procurement processes. Analyzes cash flow and budget variances, and contributes to month-end close activities (e.g., FX revaluation) to deliver actionable financial insights.
What You’ll Do
Annual Budget and Mid-Year Reforecast
- Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the Finance Manager, department heads, and relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and consolidate budget templates, collect departmental inputs, and ensure alignment with company strategic goals.
- Coordinate and prepare the mid-year reforecast, updating assumptions and projections based on actual performance and revised business outlook.
- Present budget and reforecast summaries in a clear, structured format for management review.
Operational Budget Support
- Process and monitor budget transfer requests across cost centers and departments, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
- Support additional budget requests by evaluating business justification and maintaining updated budget control records.
- Act as the point of contact for operational budget queries from department managers, providing guidance on budget utilization and compliance.
Capital Expenditure (Asset) Coordination
- Serve as the finance gatekeeper for company asset acquisition requests, screening submissions against the approved capital budget before forwarding for procurement.
- Coordinate with the requesting department, procurement team, and Finance Manager to ensure proper classification, budget availability, and approval workflow for each asset purchase.
- Maintain an asset procurement log and provide periodic status updates to the Finance Manager.
Month-End Close Support
- Support the finance operations team in monthly closing activities, including preparation and posting of FX revaluation journal entries (monetary balance restatement at period-end exchange rates).
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of close-related adjustments in the ERP system within established timelines.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Cash Flow Forecasting
- Prepare and maintain the company’s periodic cash flow forecast, incorporating receipts, disbursements, working capital movements, and capital expenditure projections.
- Monitor actual cash flow against forecast and highlight material deviations to the Finance Manager with supporting analysis.
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure the forecast reflects the latest operational and financing activities.
Budget Variance Monitoring and Analysis
- Regularly track and analyze budget vs. actual performance at the department, cost center, and company level.
- Prepare variance analysis reports identifying key drivers behind financial discrepancies, with clear commentary and recommended actions.
- Distribute variance reports to relevant stakeholders on a monthly basis and escalate significant deviations to the Finance Manager.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s or in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, or a related finance function.
- Prior experience in budget coordination, cost center management, or month-end close activities is highly desirable.
- Experience within a listed company, technology, or semiconductor industry is an added advantage.
- Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) to support financial analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, data validation).
- Familiarity with ERP software; Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of FX revaluation, cash flow modeling, and variance analysis techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Effective communicator capable of coordinating across multiple departments.
- Organized and deadline-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive in identifying process improvement opportunities within budgeting and reporting workflows.
