DV4310 Family

The DV4310 is series of Development Kits for the ISO14443A RFID transponder IC with UART interface,

SIC4310, from Silicon Craft Technology. All kits in DV4310 Family are provided with the antenna, so the developer can start development right away. Since SIC4310 can harvest the energy from NFC RF signal up to 10mA, so the kits don’t have to use the battery to supply its peripheral devices e.g. the MCU, sensor, or LCD display.

The DV4310 family consists of:

  • SIC4310-MC : 19.7 x 12.5 mm Micro module Development kit with antenna
  • SIC4310-HV :  48 x 48 mm Development kit for power harvesting
  • SIC4310-HVU :  88 x 55 mm Development kit for Power Harvesting with USB interface
  • SIC4310-FU : 85.47 x 47.63 mm Full functional development kit

The demo software for Android can be downloaded free at Google Playstore. The design file (PCB, schematic, source code, etc.) can be provided upon requested.

FEATURES OF SIC4310

SIC4310 : RFID Tag IC with UART Interface

  • SIC4310-MC

    The SIC4310-MC is a Development kit in a form of a micro module of SIC4310,
    a high-performance ISO14443A RFID transponder IC with UART interface from Silicon Craft Technology. SIC4310-MC can connect directly to the PC or other components via UART interface. With completed interface pins and antenna, SIC4310-MC helps user step over the hardware limit and develop the product using SIC4310 faster.

    SIC4310-MC also provided with three multi-purpose GPIO ports which can be configured to support various applications. For example, user can use “RFDET” pin and “RFBusy” pin as GPIO pin in the LED control application, and use them as “RF detection” and “RF Busy indicator “ pin in wireless communication application. Moreover, the power source of SIC4310 can be selected to be the external 3.3V power supply or harvesting power from the RF.

    All support information as well as the demonstration Android applications and are already provided on the website. However, Software and Firmware source code are available per request.

    The RF Field Detection Pin can also be configured as a Tamper Detection Pin as a safeguard against tampering attempts.

    The SIC4310-HV is a Development kit for SIC4310,

This feature makes SIC4310 to be the “NFC Enabler” by sourcing the power from NFC phone to the external circuit as well as communicating the data in the same time. Therefore, SIC4310 is the best match for the fully-passive battery-less applications.

    The SIC4310-HVU is a development kit of SIC4310,
    a high-performance ISO14443A RFID tag IC with UART interface from Silicon Craft Technology. The SIC4310-HVU is integrated with USB-to-UART IC from FTDI, FT232R, to convert UART interface to USB. With this component, SIC4310-HVU can connect directly to the PC, and it helps user step over the hardware limit and develop the product using SIC4310 faster.

    Base on circuitry connection, the power source of SIC4310 can be selected to be the external 3.3V power supply or harvesting power from the RF. The harvested power, not only for supplying SIC4310 itself, but it can also source the power to the external circuit up to 10mA. This feature makes SIC4310 to be the “NFC Enabler” by sourcing the power from NFC phone to the external circuit as well as communicating the data in the same time.

    SIC4310-HVU is provided with 4 LEDs connected direct to SIC4310 GPIOs. With SIC4310, these LEDs can be lit from the RF-harvested power only. Therefore, SIC4310 is the best match for the fully-passive battery-less applications.

    The SIC4310-FU is a development kit of SIC4310,
    a high-performance ISO14443A RFID tag IC with UART interface from Silicon Craft Technology. The SIC4310-FU is integrated with peripheral components e.g. antenna, LCD, LED, function button, and temperature sensor. These components work perfectly with ARM CORTEX-M0 STM32F051 microcontroller, to indicate the possibilities of using SIC4310 in many applications.

    Base on pin selection, the power source of SIC4310 can be selected to be the external 3.3V power supply or harvesting power from the RF. Not only for supplying SIC4310 itself, but the harvested power can also source current to the external circuit up to 10mA. This feature makes SIC4310 to be the “NFC Enabler” by sourcing the power from NFC phone to the external circuit as well as communicating the data in the same time.

    SIC4310-FU use UART as a main channel to interface between SIC4310 and STM32F051. However, the communication ports are provided with all major communication protocols nowadays e.g. SPI, I2C, and UART. User can use these ports to connect between host computer and SIC4310-FU to command and monitor the SIC4310-FU. Moreover, SWP port is provided for the developer to program and debug the SIC4310-FU via the debugger.
